He is best known as the host of the news and commentary show Anderson Cooper 360°, which airs on the Cable News Network (CNN). Cooper was the son of the heiress Gloria Vanderbilt and the author Wyatt Emory Cooper, who were prominent New York City society members at the time of Cooper’s birth.
