Bangtan Boys Bio

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boyband formed by Big Hit Entertainment and consists of seven members: Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, Jungkook, and leader RM. BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and is known by the moniker “Bangtan Boys.” Its members were recruited via the agency’s “Hit It” tryouts in 2010 and 2011, before becoming completed in 2012. BTS is literally translated as “Bulletproof Boy Scouts. “Some of BTS’ members began their musical careers as underground musicians before making their official debut in 2013. Rap Monster was an underground rapper who had released a number of songs, including a collaboration with Zico, before disappearing from the scene. BTS finished the year as the fourth most successful group on Billboard’s Top Billboard 200 Artists – Duo/Group list, behind only Queen, Imagine Dragons, and The Beatles in terms of chart success. BTS released “Black Swan” in January 2020 as the first single off their upcoming seventh studio album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” as they prepared to make their return with a new album. Later that month, the group played a live version of the song on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” and they also performed with Lil Naas X at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, making them the first Korean artist to perform at the Grammys.


The group’s fourth Korean-language studio album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” was released in February to critical acclaim and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. When the album’s first track, “On,” debuted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, it became the group’s highest-charting single on the chart and established them as the Korean act with the most Top 10 singles on the Hot 100. As part of the album promotion, the group made appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” as well as on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden. “The Map of the Soul Tour, the group’s fourth international concert tour and second stadium tour, is set to begin on April 11 in Seoul, South Korea, and will last for three months.
