Elden Henson Bio

Elden Ryan Ratliff’s parents, Sayde Henson, a schoolteacher and a former photographer, and George Ratliff, a former New York theatrical actor, welcomed him on August 30, 1977, in Rockville, Maryland. Both his brothers are performers; Garette Ratliff Henson (who co-starred with Elden in The Mighty Ducks) and Erick Ratliff (who co-starred with Elden in Elvis & Me) are members of the Ratliff family. He has a younger half-brother named Ellington Ratliff, a member of the band R5, and is the product of his father’s second marriage.

Burbank, California, is where Henson spent his childhood. As a child actor, he debuted in commercials when he was only six years old and had a string of film and television parts under his belt by age 10. After graduating from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, Henson studied at Emerson College in Boston. When Henson was only a little child, he began his career in the modeling industry by working as a print model. During this period, he was contracted with Fords Models to work in the children’s section.

Even before he was six, he started performing in advertisements. It was in 1982 that he was granted his SAG card. In the following decade, he appeared in several films and television shows, the most notable of which were Elvis & Me (1988) and Turner & Hooch (1989). He also had several guest-starring appearances on television. Henson performed the role of Fulton Reed in all three installments of The Mighty Ducks trilogy, which were released between 1992 and 1996: The Mighty Ducks (1992), D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994), and D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996) respectively.

According to what he said in an interview with TV Guide, he owes “a lot of [his] career” to those movies. “What’s interesting is that The Mighty Ducks is still, more than anything else, why people recognize me. I adore it. When I was younger, I often felt self-conscious and humiliated. As a kid, I played sports; one of my favorites was baseball. When I was on the opposing team, they’d make fun of me by quacking and doing other things. I adore each of those films. I get the impression that experiences like this only come around once in a lifetime, and the fact that I have been able to enjoy them both as a child and as an adult makes me feel fortunate.

In his early twenties, he appeared in minor parts in several films, including The Mighty, She’s All That, Idle Hands, O, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, and The Butterfly Effect. The 1999 television movie “Gift of Love: The Daniel Huffman Story” and the film “The Battle of Shaker Heights,” released in 2003, had him in leading roles. During this period, Henson was also the co-founder and co-executive producer of the film production business Roulette Entertainment, which he managed in partnership with the actor Josh Hartnett.

In the latter part of the 2000s, he had roles in movies such as Lords of Dogtown and Deja Vu, and he also featured as a guest on several different television programs, including the CBS series Smith, for which he had a four-episode arc. Andy Hertzfeld, an Apple Computer developer, was represented by Henson in the biopic Jobs, which was released in 2013. In September 2013, it was revealed that he would play the role of Pollux in parts 1 and 2 of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

The principal filming for both parts started in the same month in Atlanta, Georgia, and continued nonstop until the principal shooting ended on June 20, 2014, in Berlin, Germany. Henson began as Foggy Nelson in the 2015 season of the Netflix television series Daredevil and continued throughout all three seasons. In June 2014, Marvel announced that Henson would be playing the role.

Henson held his phone incorrectly during the audition for the character of Foggy Nelson, which was done via video conference call. As a result, his phone screen seemed inverted to the other participants in the meeting. Because of this blunder, the program producers concluded that he should play the role. Henson expressed his enthusiasm over the part Foggy will play in the show: “I was excited as I was getting the scripts and reading that Foggy wasn’t just a useless sidekick.”

He does more than merely provide comedic relief. I mean, he is a reflection of some of those qualities. He provides some comedic relief, but seeing that the other characters would each have their road and challenges to overcome was fascinating. In addition to his role as Daredevil, Henson has also appeared as Foggy in the crossover miniseries The Defenders. He also had a guest appearance in the second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.Disney has a lot riding on the outcome regarding what is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When the Daredevil series on Netflix was canceled in 2019 due to the launch of Disney’s streaming channel, fans directly fought for the revival of Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock.

A few years have passed, and the production of Daredevil: Born Again has just begun. Most of the casting news has already been released, leaving an opportunity for excitement and huge surprises. Given introductory remarks from the show’s actors, it is reasonable to surmise that Disney and Marvel were not interested in continuing the Netflix storyline. This will only be revealed in its entirety when Daredevil: Born Again is released on home screens in the following year, but in the meanwhile, we can only hypothesize as to why this choice was made.

Instead, it is becoming more apparent that Daredevil: Born Again will be more of a reboot or remake of the film that came before it.
It is likely that the decision to keep some actors, such as Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Jon Bernthal as Castle, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and possibly Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, will be explained through the concept of the multiverse. However, the introduction of a brand new supporting cast, as well as the recasting of some key characters, will drive home the point that Daredevil: Born Again is its own, altogether different show.

Like in the source material, Cox has said that Born Again may go back to the beginning and offer Matt Murdock a similar but distinct origin narrative. He has done this by using the world of comic books as a point of reference for Disney’s approach to the next season of Marvel’s Daredevil. “Kevin [Feige] has been very clear about it being season one, so not a season four, so it’s a whole new deal,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in October. He said, “What’s great about that is that we potentially get to tell some of the stories repeatedly in the same way they do in the comics.”

D’Onofrio also mirrored this attitude in a tweet he gave to a fan. In the message, he referred to the new program as “very different” from the Netflix original and “brand new and brilliant.”The release of Born Again has fueled rumors that one additional character from Netflix’s Defenders Saga may be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since Marvel Television’s Netflix series was canceled, there has been great enthusiasm and curiosity over which characters from the street-level episodes will adequately find their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After making cameo appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Hawkeye, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and the upcoming Echo series, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio were confirmed to be reprising their roles in Daredevil: Born Again on Netflix. They are now joined by Jon Bernthal, who will return as Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher. Filming for Daredevil: Born Again began on March 6, 2023, in New York City under the working title Out the Kitchen. Production will continue in New York City until November, so the sizeable 18-episode total can be completed.

Even though Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll will not be appearing in Born Again and other characters, such as Vanessa Fisk from Daredevil, will be recast, many people are curious whether or not any of the Defenders from Netflix will make an appearance in the future series. There have been rumors that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again. However, because the show is now shooting in a different location, there have been rumors that another superhero will appear in the series.

According to the thecuriousuptowner on Twitter, filming for Daredevil: Born Again relocated to Harlem on March 13 and 14, prompting many people to speculate that Harlem’s resident superhero will be joining the series. Mike Colter debuted as Luke Cage in the first season of Jessica Jones, which came before the premiere of his series, Luke Cage. It was revealed that Cage had been exposed to experiments when he was jailed at Seagate Prison for a crime he didn’t commit. These experiments left him with improved abilities, including superhuman strength and skin that seemed to be indestructible.

Cage returns to his hometown after having a run-in with Jessica Jones and Kilgrave to defend Harlem from the impending threat posed by its looming criminal leaders, notably Cottonmouth and Mariah Dillard. Fans had been unsure about the canonicity of Daredevil on Netflix within the Marvel Cinematic Universe; however, the fact that the majority of the actors would be returning for Born Again seems to corroborate that the previous series took place in the same timeline as the rest of the MCU; even if the new series is somewhat of a fresh start.
