Holly Willoughby Bio

British-born Willoughby was born on February 10, 1981, to parents who moved to Brighton from California. Her parents were the happily wed Brian R. Willoughby and Linda J. (née Fleming). Both of her parents worked; mom was a flight attendant and dad was the sales manager at a double-pane window factory. She is the younger sibling of fellow TV personality Kelly Willoughby and was raised in Woodmancote with her family. The youngest of three, she is the baby of the family. She attended the exclusive Burgess Hill Girls School in nearby West Sussex before transferring to the College of Richard Collyer in nearby Horsham. Holly Willoughby was 14 years old when talent scouts spotted her at a 1995 “The Clothes Show” Live exhibition.

When her modelling agency, Storm Model Management, saw her visiting the museum on a school field trip, they quickly signed her up. At 17, she began appearing in publications including “Mizz,” “Just Seventeen,” “Shout,” and “More!” She then went on to model for firms like Rimmel (cosmetics) and Pretty Polly (innerwear) the following year. She felt comfortable in front of the camera after appearing in a few TV commercials, so she accompanied a friend to an audition for the new CITV show, “S Club TV,” with the goal of starting a career in television hosting. She also played Zoe in a spinoff series called “S Club 7: Artistic Differences,” which featured the English pop group S Club 7 and was made by the same studio.
