Jack McBrayer is a comedian, voice actor, and actor based in the United States. His performance as Kenneth Parcell in the NBC comedy series 30 Rock brought him the most of his fame. In the 2017 Sony comedy Smurfs: The Lost Village, he also provided his voice for the character of Clumsy Smurf.
He provided the voice of Fix-It Felix Jr. in the animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph, which Disney released in 2012, and he repeated his role in the film’s sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet, which was released in 2018. In addition to that, he has provided the voice for the characters of Wander in “Wander Over Yonder,” Irving Du Bois in “Phineas and Ferb,” the Pirate Mummy in “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” Badili in “The Lion Guard,” and Captain in “Milo Murphy’s Law.” In addition, he provided the voice of The Ghost of Christmas Past in the episode “Last Christmas!” from the DuckTales 2017 season and RubberBand Ball in the episode “Dream a Little Bob of Bob” from the Bob’s Burgers series.
McBrayer was born in Macon, Georgia, but when he was 15, his family relocated to Conyers, Georgia. He received his education at Heritage High School and attended the University of Evansville to study theatre management.[4] He had a pneumothorax when he was 18 years old. He said it felt like he had a heart attack and that it was one of the most excruciating aches he had ever experienced.
Between 1995 and 2002, he worked in Chicago at The Second City and IO Theatre. Through this experience, he was introduced to the creator of 30 Rock, Tina Fey, and it also prepared him for his part on her show. McBrayer appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 2002 to 2004, participating in over 80 sketches during that time.
He often made fun of his Southern heritage by portraying archetypal hillbilly characters. He made an appearance at the Eugene, Oregon, Universal City, California, and Atlanta legs of Conan O’Brien’s Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour. Atlanta was the tour’s concluding destination.
The music video for Mariah Carey’s song “Touch My Body” was released in 2008, and he appeared in it many times. During the video recording, McBrayer claims that he accidentally struck Carey in the face with a Frisbee. Carey was not injured. McBrayer also appears in the pilot episode of the fifth season of Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show, Great Job!, in which he plays the role of a satirical spokesperson for a parody advertising a product called the “Diarrhea-phragm.” Both the American cartoon series Ugly Americans and the second season of Phineas and Ferb featured him in reoccurring roles. He performed as a voice actor for both shows.
He had a part in the film Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, which was released in 2010. Since season 2, he has repeatedly appeared in the “Knock Knock Joke of the Day” segment on the popular children’s television program Yo Gabba Gabba! He also stars in the television show Wander Over Yonder, produced by Craig McCracken and airs on the Disney Channel.
In the same year (2011), he also appeared on The Simpsons in the episode “The Great Simpsina” from season 22. He played the role of Ewell Freestone, also known as “Peach Guy.” In the Disney animated feature Wreck-It Ralph, released in the autumn of 2012, Jack gave his voice to the role of Fix-It Felix, Jr., a close buddy of the titular character and a video gaming opponent.
More recently, he has been featured in ads for Kia with Blake Gryphon, a player for the Los Angeles Clippers, and 2013; he made an appearance in a commercial for Barnes & Noble. The Jack and Triumph Show, a sitcom created by McBrayer for Adult Swim, debuted in February 2015. In the first episode of the tenth season of The Big Bang Theory, which aired in September 2016, McBrayer portrayed the role of Penny’s elder brother Randall.
A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo is an audiobook released in 2018, and McBrayer was one of the performers who provided their voices for it. It was revealed in December 2018 that McBrayer would make his theatrical debut on the West End in the musical Waitress, which was transferring from Broadway, and he would play the character of Ogie until June 15, 2019. On Tuesday, February 8, 2019, the performance debuted at the Adelphi Theatre in London. He appeared on The Sara Cox Show on ITV in June 2019. McBrayer appeared on man June 15des of the comedy-myFebruary 8es Mapleworth Murders, produced by Quibi in 2020. McBrayer appeared as a competitor in an episode of the sixth season of the baking competition series Nailed It! that aired on Netflix in 2021.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced that Jack McBrayer and JoJo Siwa would host the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards. JoJo Siwa will host the Children’s and Family Creative Arts Emmy event on December 10, while Jack McBrayer will host the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards program on December 11. The Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles is going to play host to both of the performances.
On the comedy Call Me Kat on Fox, the baker, Phil, played by Leslie Jordan, has bDecember 10since Jordan departed the show. Former cast member, Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock, will take up December 11 Gideon for the foreseeable future. Gideon is a beautiful Amish guy who sees much of the outside world for the first time and will now work as the oven operator at Kat’s (Mayim Bialik) kitty café. Following the announcement, a brief teaser was released, in which Kat is shown presenting Gideon to her friends at a pub, where Gideon immediately demonstrates that he lacks any filter.
McBrayer will play the same part that Jordan did, that of the eccentric and endearing baker who provides comedic relief for the series. In the short film, he attends his first pub, filled with wide-eyed delight as he marvels at Carter (Julian Gant), the “second Black person” he’s ever encountered before Kat explains his circumstances. This occurs before Kat explains that he is in a precarious position. It doesn’t take long for him and Kat to hit it off, and he even manages to make a favorable first impression on Kat’s mother, although in an unorthodox manner.
McBrayer’s introduction to the show takes place, as one would expect, under less-than-ideal conditions. After the untimely passing of Jordan at the end of the previous year, the decision was made to pay tribute to him during the show’s winter debut. Phil wed his new lover, Jalen, in a ceremony not seen on the show. The couple then moved to Tahiti and opened a bakery together. With this resolution, Bialik ensured that “his character will live forever, and he can have whatever adventures we all imagine.” During the show, Jordan was also honored with a heartfelt message of appreciation from his lifelong friend Dolly Parton.
