Liz McClarnon Bio

Pop singer, dancer, and TV host Elizabeth Margaret “Liz” McClarnon is from England. She entered the world on April 10th, 1981, in Liverpool, England. Besides being a part of the girl group Atomic Kitten, she also made history as the first performer to take on the role of Paulette in the UK tour of the musical Legally Blonde. McClarnon’s music teacher set up an audition for her with artist Andy McCluskey in 1997, when she was still in high school, and the two hit it off.

McCluskey wanted to start a girl group. McCluskey wanted to start a new girl group at the time. The band’s first album was published in 1999 under the moniker Atomic Kitten, which they had previously used. McClarnon, the lone surviving founder member of Atomic Kitten, played guitar and sang lead vocals. The three no longer make music together in the studio, but they occasionally reunite for one-off concerts.

There have been three number-one singles by Atomic Kitten in the UK; the others are “Whole Again” and “Eternal Flame,” both of which reached number two. Right Now and Feels So Good were both top-charting albums for them in the UK. Both of these albums have sold over 600,000 copies in the United Kingdom, earning them the coveted “double platinum” status. It is estimated that there were 6.2 million singles sold and 4 million albums sold all over the globe.

As of March 4, 2012, it was confirmed that Atomic Kitten would reform. McClarnon was offered a recording contract by All Around the World Records following his time with Atomic Kitten. The first solo single she released was a cover of Barbra Streisand’s 1980 smash hit “Woman in Love,” and it was out on February 13, 2006. McClarnon’s tourmates, Graham Stack and Robin Gibb (of the Bee Gees), who also created the song, collaborated on its production.

Graham Stack and Robin Gibb co-produced the song. The song was promoted with a music video that showed what seemed like McClarnon playing in his New York City apartment. However, McClarnon’s hometown of Liverpool served as the setting for the video. A cover of Jackie Wilson’s “I Get the Sweetest Feeling” was chosen to appear on the flip side of the record, making it a double A-side release.

After over six months on the market, the single peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart and at number sixteen on the Spanish charts on October 22, 2006. In addition, the FHM Hot 100’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” music video starred McClarnon before she released her first solo album. The song reached number ten on the UK singles chart.

McClarnon has released new songs under her own name after the success of her first album, including a new single titled “Don’t It Make You Happy.” McClarnon sang the song on the BBC’s pre-Eurovision TV show Making Your Mind Up on March 17, 2007, in a bid to boost her chances of being chosen to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest that year.

She recorded it in 2007 to submit to the United Kingdom’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Sadly, she didn’t do well enough in the competition to win, and the song didn’t make the charts. The indie pop group Scooch came out on top. McClarnon and his friend Jaime Jay also recorded a song together for the Global One Music Project named “Lately.” McClarnon has made versions of the song in other languages, including English, French, and Spanish.

Performers from all over the world and in dozens of languages have covered the song. The single’s original release date was May 18, 2009, and McClarnon and Jay promoted it on several radio and television shows before it was delayed. Unfortunately, the new release date is unknown at this time. McClarnon’s recording sessions for her debut album have resumed since then.

She broke up with her prior management company in April of 2008 and is currently being handled by Belta CM, which is run by Scott Richardson, her former marketing manager. Her album is set for release in the fall of 2010, and the lead single is due out in May of that year. She is also working on a cookbook, which she has provisionally titled The Can’t Cook, Cook Book and hopes to release in time for the 2010 holidays.

Touring production of War of the Worlds starring Liz McClarnon as Beth. On August 3, 2009, McClarnon signed with 3 Beat Records, a division of All Around the World. (by means of Universal Records) For her first release on the new label, she wrote the song “Not in Love,” which will serve as the title tune. The song was influenced by electro and dance music by Kylie Minogue.

The November release date has been set for the single. McClarnon first sang the song at the 2009 Midlands Festival. Beginning at the start of February 2010, her first television show, titled “Hotter Than My Daughter,” aired on BBC 3 for a total of six weeks. This event was a huge success, with viewership figures far above anyone’s wildest expectations.

She played Beth in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, which ran from the end of 2010 through the beginning of 2011. After this, on July 8, 2011, McClarnon began her run as Paulette in the inaugural UK tour of the musical Legally Blonde: The Musical. This run lasted until September 17, 2011. Claire Sweeney, a native of Liverpool, came in second place after her.

McClarnon gave a presentation for the BBC in August 2003 regarding the plight of elderly people who were being evicted from their houses. She made an appearance on the reality TV show Celebrity Love Island, which was shown on ITV in 2005, and she ended up coming in second place. McClarnon and Richard O’Brien both had appearances in the ITV documentary “The Girl With the Golden Hair” on December 27, 2006, which aired in the United Kingdom.

The band ABBA used to play a mini-rock opera with the same name during their tour of Australia in 1977. The documentary relates the tale of how the band came up with the idea for the show. McClarnon gives a performance of the three songs that were published as part of that show. The songs are titled “Thank You for the Music,” “I Wonder (Departure),” and “I’m a Marionette.”

The last song from the musical, “Get on the Carousel,” which was never recorded or published by ABBA, is not performed by her in the documentary; however, a clip of the song that was shot during the tour does feature in the film. McClarnon was honored with the title of “Celebrity Masterchef Champion” on July 25, 2008. Since that time, she has gone on to maintain a regular role on Market Kitchen on the Good Food Channel, where she provides commentary on contemporary cookbooks.

In addition, she was a guest on four episodes of the show LK Today, where she not only answered questions but also demonstrated how to make a new easy recipe in each episode. In addition, McLarnon came up with a new pasta dish for Pizza Hut that was introduced in January of 2009. She has made it clear that she is currently working on the completion of her very own cookbook.

McClarnon made his first appearance on the National Lottery on October 29, 2008, in the role of presenter. She was also present at the ceremony for the nominations of the 2009 Brit Awards, where she provided viewers with updates. McClarnon made an appearance as a guest on the television program Heston’s Feasts, which was hosted by chef Heston Blumenthal, in the month of March 2009.

McClarnon was a contestant on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in 2009, during which she was a member of Ant’s team and took part in several challenges during the series. In addition, McClarnon has appeared as a guest panelist on series including The Wright Stuff, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Shooting Stars, and he will shortly be making an appearance on All Star Family Fortunes.

Hotter Than My Daughter is a show that has been shown on BBC3 and is now hosted by McClarnon. The show’s debut was on February 4, 2010. In the year 2010, she appeared on an episode of What Do Kids Know? as a celebrity guest team leader, together with Rufus Hound, Joe Swash, and Sara Cox on Watch.

Since the year 2010, Liz has participated as a guest panelist on The Wright Stuff, which airs on FIVE. McClarnon currently serves as an ambassador for the non-profit organization Youth Music. Although McClarnon was born in Liverpool, he currently resides in the city of London.
