Pia Toscano is an American singer born in Howard Beach, New York, on October 14, 1988. She is originally from the United States. Toscano earned a position in the top ten on the tenth season of American Idol, finishing ninth overall. After she was ousted from the competition, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, and Steven Tyler were all seen and heard expressing their extreme displeasure with the decision.
