Ian Maxtone-Graham is a television writer and producer from the United States of America. Throughout his career, he has worked as a writer for Saturday Night Live (1992–1995) and The Simpsons (1995–2012), where he also served as a co-executive producer and consultant producer for the latter. Maritime historian John Maxtone-Graham is Maxtone-Graham’s father, and Maxtone-Graham is his son.
According to Jan Struther, the author of Mrs. Miniver, he is the great-nephew of the author. He went to Trinity School and Brown University for his education. He was a diver with an underwater research team, which was his first employment after graduating from college. He was an eager swimmer. After having a difficult time establishing a career in journalism, he began writing for the television program Not Necessarily the News as well as the publications National Lampoon and Army Man.
