The shoot began on June 28, 2010, and the movie opened in theatres on July 22, 2011. Bucky was the model youthful sidekick to Captain America until he was slain, as seen in the original design by Joe Simon, the comic’s author and the inspiration for the film. During his time as the show’s head writer from 2005 to 2010, Ed Brubaker brought the character back to life as the secret agent Winter Soldier.
He told ‘Collider,’ “Bucky to me was always interesting because he was a little bit more…” He was more noticeable as someone with apparent shortcomings.
