Mike Judge Bio

Mike Judge is the stage name of American animator, actor, voice actor, writer, director, and producer Michael Craig Judge. The judge is also known by his nickname, Mike. Despite having a degree in science, he started his professional life as a programmer, but he quickly transitioned into the world of music as a bass player. After some time, he developed a more profound fascination with animation, and he began making animated shorts to submit to production firms.

Beavis and Butthead was the first significant project he worked on, and it was an animated comedy made for MTV. Most of his works are based around a put-upon, regular guy type who reacts to the outrageous personalities around him. ‘King of the Hill’ and ‘Silicon Valley’ are further successful shows that Mike Judge has produced and written for.

In addition, he has provided his voice acting talents for several other productions. Since its inception in 2003, he has been actively involved with “The Animation Show,” which aims to broaden the audience base on which short films may be seen in North America. He was one of the co-founders of the event. In addition to this, he is well-known for his part in the popular science fiction film series known as “Spy Kids.” He was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame the following year (2007).

On October 17, 1962, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Mike Judge was born to his mother, Margaret Blue, a librarian, and his father, Jim Judge, an archaeologist. He was the middle child of the couple’s three kids. Throughout his formative years, he attended St. Pius X High School and was a product of the Albuquerque, New Mexico, public school system. Mike Judge received a degree in Physics from the University of California, San Diego, in 1986, where he studied for four years.

After completing his studies, Mike Judge began his professional career at Support Systems Inc., where he worked as a programmer for the F/A-18 Hornet fighter aircraft. In 1987, he relocated to Texas to work for a new video graphics company called Parallax Graphics, headquartered in Santa Clara. However, he could not get used to the workplace layout and resigned after just a short time.

After that, he pursued a music career and eventually joined a ‘Blues’ band as a bass player. Two years passed, during which he was a member of the team. On the other hand, he concluded that animation was his true calling. Mike Judge started producing short animated cartoons in 1989, which he distributed to several other networks.

1991 was the first time he could attend the Dallas Animation Festival. After the event, the television station Comedy Central acquired the rights to broadcast his short film, which was named “Office Space.”The following year, he released a short film called “Frog Baseball,” which featured two characters named Beavis and Butthead.

This short served as the basis for an animated series known as the “Beavis and Butthead series” and was shown on MTV in 1993. The series centered around these characters. This is considered the beginning of his animation career’s first significant break. The show aired from 1993 to 1997; then, it returned to television for another year in 2011.

Beavis and Butthead Do America is the name given to the feature-length picture produced in 1996 and is based on the animated television series of the same name. He devised the idea for the adult animated comedy ‘King of the Hill’ in 1997 and sold it to Fox Broadcasting Company. In addition to serving as the production executive and writer for the series, he also provided his voice for a pair of different characters.

This show aired 259 episodes throughout its thirteen seasons, ending in 2010. It eventually became the prime-time animated series with the third-longest running duration. In the feature film “South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut,” released in 1999 and based on the successful television series of the same name, he provided a voice cameo. In the same year, he also penned the screenplay for and directed the film version of the television series “Office Space.”

Mike Judge had a cameo appearance in the film of the same name, which he also starred in. In the science fiction fantasy adventure movie “Spy Kids,” released in 2001, he played the character of “Donnagon Giggles.” 2002’s “Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams” and 2003’s “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over” both had him reprising the character he had previously performed.

Animation artist Don Hertzfeldt, he went on a tour around the country in 2003 to put on an event called “The Animation Show,” an animation festival. The two individuals visited cities and towns nationwide to show animated short films. Since then, there have been three iterations of the tour: in 2005, 2007, and 2008. After the conclusion of the third season, Don Hertzfeldt left the show.

In 2006, he wrote, directed, and co-produced the satirical science fiction comedy film ‘Idiocracy.’ Additionally, in the same year, he provided his voice acting services for the animated series “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” and had cameo appearances in the film “Jackass Number Two.”

Extract was a comedy film that he wrote and directed in 2009. It was released in 2009. In addition, he appeared in the movie in a cameo capacity. In the same year, he conceived up and produced the animated cartoon series ‘The Goode Family’ for the American Broadcasting Company. However, the program was pulled off the air after just one season.
